Can-Do Attitude

Maine’s widely renowned craft beer industry is a point of pride for us and a big draw for visitors. It’s more than business – it’s a culture that thrives on collaborative energy and mutual support between brewers all over the state.

This year, for the first time, that team spirit will be on full display with a special release that supports the Maine Brewers’ Guild. The idea came from a few suppliers who brainstormed about helping brewers weather the pandemic. They decided to contribute hops and malt to participating breweries who are using the same recipe but their own yeast to create a featured IPA, all with a common label and a common purpose – supporting each other.

The organizers anticipated a few participants, but the guild’s collaborative culture inspired 39 inaugural brewers. While each brewery’s release is a unique offering, every can of Collaboration 2020 is crafted with shared ingredients and a shared cause. Cheers to that!
