Ice Cream Worth Screaming For

What do you get when you combine off-the-charts flavor creativity with rich ingredients and two incredibly witty personalities? Dear Dairy Ice Cream.

This place has become an obsession of mine. The genius flavor combinations of their ultra-premium blends include the likes of Brown Butter Parsnip and Coffee Coffee Cake, and they are collaborating with other local makers for custom combinations like their Burnt Toast riff on the sesame spelt loaf from Night Moves Bread.

Dear Dairy began as an art project between Alec Haviland and Glenn Dalrymple, but it’s evolved into a small-batch ice cream studio filled with inventive flavors and community advocacy. Supporting and promoting small business is a major part of the Dear Dairy model. Tune into their social channels for how you can join the effort to make the permitting and inspection process more accessible and equitable for Portland entrepreneurs. And, of course, buy yourself some ice cream!
