We just celebrated four family birthdays and three graduations at this incredible spot. This West End eatery from chef owner Damian Sansonetti is a neighborhood bistro with seasonally-inspired French and Spanish cuisine. The menu offers a perfect variety for light fare or a full dinner, varying from small plates of patatas bravas and beef-stuffed peppers to impressive entrees like coq au vin and New York strip. Because of the emphasis on seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients, the menu is updated frequently, but there’s a constant focus on elegant interpretation of hearty classics.

Chaval is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 4 to 9 pm; orders are available for delivery and pickup as well.
