Gross, but Not Gross…

Despite its ironic moniker, Gross Confection Bar was founded with a palate-pleasing focus on the sweeter side of life.
 
The intentionally sarcastic name reflects chef-owner Brant Dadaleare's self-proclaimed ‘surly’ kitchen character, but the truth is that there’s nothing distasteful about Gross Confection or Brant. He’s famous for desserts, but my current favorite on the menu is the breakfast sandwich… the Best Breakfast Sandwich Ever. Herbed biscuit, egg, thick-cut bacon, and cheese blend into layers of rich flavors that only a pastry savant could produce.
