Between date nights and tasting pours (and the fact that my husband has a strong love for craft brews!), I’m starting to think I should write a regular feature on local breweries… tell me which ones to check out!
This month’s spotlight is on Lone Pine Brewing in Portland’s East Bayside. Lone Pine’s on-site service is currently outdoor-only, but their notoriously flavorful brews are worth the chill factor. Of course, you can also opt for delivery or takeout, or you can find Lone Pine products on the shelf – they are widely distributed even beyond New England. One of the reasons for that popularity is the unique flavor profiles and collaborations that complement mainstay draughts. Their Oh-J IPA is a fan favorite alongside multiple inventive brews with The Holy Donut that somehow bottle the taste of glazed goods. One of the newest releases, a brown ale that debuted just last week, is right on point with another one of my March favorites – Maine Maple Sunday. They also just released a craft seltzer in flavors such as Blueberry Lemon and Watermelon Cucumber for those of us non-beer lovers! Check out the beer menu and up-to-date tasting room info for Lone Pine’s locations in both Portland and Gorham here.
