Recent statistics published by the Maine REALTORS® indicate strong performance in Cumberland's 2020 metrics. Median sales price for Cumberland County rose more than 12 percent year-over-year and was 43 percent higher than the statewide median price. Year-over-year, the number of sales in Cumberland rose just over one percent, but did not reach the peak transaction volume seen in 2015 and 2016. Historically, Cumberland sales have constituted approximately 25 percent of statewide sales, but this metric has been declining as inventory constraints and rising prices encourage buyers to explore a wider range.
