North43 is a South Portland waterfront bistro with incredible views of Casco Bay and creative fusion menus for both lunch and dinner. The dining space spans two levels overlooking the Spring Point Marina and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating, so it’s a perfect place for intimate meals and group events. Chef Stephanie Brown relies on seasonal and local ingredients to honor the influences of Asian, Italian, and French cuisine with dishes like local island mussels with house made focaccia and Chinese five spiced salmon with blood orange and sesame ginger sauce.
I’m more than happy to indulge in a meal at North43, but one of the best visits I’ve had was a recent group cooking class (paired with wine, of course). It was awesome to learn behind-the-scenes culinary tips in such an incredible location and from such gifted experts.
