My absolute favorite gym, Strong Bodies, closed down in June but now you can find the amazing trainer and Strong Bodies owner, Christina Strong, at The Health Coaches in Stevens Square in Portland! The new facility opened this summer and they’re already making a big impact in the community. The expertise and facility are unmatched in Portland. In addition to state-of-the-art equipment in the indoor gym, there’s an outdoor training park and a saltwater pool. What I especially love, though, is the holistic approach to wellness and the sense of community that makes it easy to keep coming back.
Health Coaches at Stevens Square is co-owned by Mark Holmes, who launched the Health Coaches concept more than 20 years ago to bring wellness coaching and fitness sessions directly to Maine’s leading companies. That tailored approach is the hallmark at Stevens Square too, the newly renovated 50,000 square foot community center in Deering Center that has transformed the former Maine Girls’ Academy into a multi-use hub. It’s an incredible space!
